Congestions in Ho Chi Minh City - Hitachi

Ho Chi Minh City is plagued by daily traffic congestions. With a population of nearly 13 million people, the city is home to 8.5 million motorbikes and 627,000 cars. According to a 2017 study, the city suffers from 64% congestion, making it the 7th worst spot to drive in the world. Ho Chi Minh City is exploring options such as elevated roads, changing major streets into one-way streets and even banning private vehicles in downtown areas. Concurrently, the city plans to build a total of six metro lines, one tramway line and two monorail lines as a long term solution. http://ift.tt/2BhxAMa
